Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of tradition. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour them GDSPS celebrated Grandparents Day on Friday,26th August,2022.
The program began with introduction by Nyra and Mihir followed by Prayer-Achyutam Keshavam by the kindergarten choir group. After this, the children of KG class-Eshant Chawla and Suraaj spoke about the significance of ‘Our National Flag’. Patriotic songs by Tvisha-‘Veer tum Badhe Chalo’ and ‘Ae Watan,Mere Watan’ by Rabnoor enthralled the audience with joy. Many power packed dance performances by students left the spectators spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized.
Principal addressed the gathering and encouraged the students for putting up scintillating performances for their grandparents. Grandparents shared some mesmerizing moments and relived their childhood with their grandchildren. They also participated in Zumba, Art & Craft, Dance and Music activity.
The success of the event was evident through the joyful smiles of the grandparents as they were overwhelmed to see their grandchildren performing for them. They appreciated and thanked the teachers, staff and students for organizing the wonderful program.
