Mother’s Day Celebration

“A Mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take”
-Cardinal Mermillod

Mother’s day is a special day, for all children and mothers as it celebrates the bond of love and affection that is everlasting. Mothers are the emotional backbone of the family, who has the magic touch to heal all wounds and make all things beautiful.

The exuberant teachers of Nursery and KG classes also hosted a special program on the occasion of Mother’s Day on 7th of May, as mothers were especially invited to spend a memorable day filled with fun and lots of activities.
All the mothers were entertained by myriad presentations such as Rhyme recitations, songs, dance performances and story enactments which mesmerized the audience, as the children along with their enthusiastic moms put their best foot forward. All the children were very eager, happy and bubbling with energy. Ms. Diksha Rana(Dance Teacher) paid tribute to all the mothers through her dance performance followed by all the pre-primary teachers tapping their feet along with her.
All the performances exalted the mother as God, teacher, friend , philosopher and guide and emphasised the truth that a mother’s love is eternal and incomparable with any precious thing on earth.

The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits and merriment. This being one of those occasions that none of us can afford to miss was zealously enjoyed by one and all.

Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, the Primary section of GD Salwan Public School had a special celebration on mother’s day. Teachers made an earnest effort to instill the importance of a mother in a child’s life through effective thematic presentations, moral stories, dramatization, and video clippings.

The students of class I had something more special and unique to bring a smile on their beloved mother’s face. They passionately got involved in making beautiful crowns or sashes for their mothers. In class II, children made fridge magnets for their mothers with their pictures on it. Gratitude, appreciation and acknowledgment could be seen as the little ones made salt jewelry for their mothers. To recreate the most memorable memories for the
mothers, students of class IV made flipbooks for their mothers consisting of acrostic poems using similes. To show their love and respect for their mother, the young, enthusiastic Salwanians of class V designed mugs for their mothers. They even drew a picture of their mother and wrote short poems. Some students even stood up and said something good about their mother. They were very eager, happy, and bubbling with energy.

All and all it was an enjoyable and memorable day for each and every child which left an indubitable mark on the innocent hearts.
