‘Satguru Nanak Pargtya , Miti Dhund Jag Chanan Hoa

Jyo Kar Sooraj Niklya Taare Chhape Andher Paloa’

A special assembly on Gurpurab was conducted on 7th November 2022  to mark the birth anniversary of the first guru of Sikhs, Guru Nanak Devji. The assembly commenced with a mesmerising Shabad rendered by the school choir. The students shed light on the significance of Gurpurab and various rituals associated with the festival. They apprised the audience about the principles and teachings of the pious soul , Shri Guru Nank Dev ji. Students also presented ‘Sakhi’ which is a tale describing the incidents from the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji . These ‘Sakhis’ have moral lessons and highlight the important principles of life. Principal Ms. Mukul Jha wished the students on the auspicious occasion of ‘Gurupurab’. She advised children to follow three basic teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji – take care of each other and support each other, be honest and committed, pray and meditate. She also encouraged students to be a part of ‘Prabhat Pheri’and visit a Gurudwara to pay their obeisance.

In the end ‘Kada prasad’ was distributed amongst all. It was a great enriching experience for all.
