‘Wisdom like Ganesha is what we all must desire.’
Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival that marks the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the symbol of wisdom, bestows his presence on Earth during this festival and removes the obstacles. With such belief the pre-primary wing organised various activities on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The sole purpose of the celebration was to let the students stay rooted with Indian culture and to enable them to understand the significance of this festival.
The celebration begins with Ganpati puja in the Nursery classroom followed by Ganesh Arti and Prasad distribution to all. The tiny tots were told about the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi. They did clay moulding and free-hand drawing of Lord Ganesha and enjoyed watching the movie ‘Bal Ganesha’ wholeheartedly. The day ended on a happy note wherein all the children sang and danced to the tunes of ‘O My friend Ganesha’. There was devotion, creativity and fun all around.
