A training session on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid was organised for the students of classes VIII-XI. Trained medical professionals from a prominent healthcare service were invited to demonstrate the ways administer basic first aid and CPR. The session’s objective was to provide basic knowledge and understanding of first aid as an invaluable resource for students. It would enable them to provide emergency care, possibly saving lives and minimizing injury. The students learnt the skill to address physical health concerns like head injuries, nose bleeds, cuts and bruises, seizures, burns, difficulty in breathing, heartaches, fractures, etc. at a primary level of care. The students were shown live demonstrations on how to execute the correct steps of giving CPR to a person in need. It was a great learning experience for the students.
