This approach to curriculum design moves away from subject-specific content and emphasizes “big ideas” that span multiple subject areas or disciplines. We concentrate first on the student’s aptitudes, then on the skills and knowledge, she/he needs to acquire. Traditional education tends to value a limited range of knowledge and skills but more recent research suggests that intelligence is not unitary but multiple. At GDSPS, we aim to give students a broader, deeper, richer educational experience by recognizing every student’s strongest talents and building upon the same in order to ensure that all the areas of talent are developed.

The highly trained faculty at Salwan focuses on leveraging the potential of the learners. Creative tasks and assignments focusing upon capacity building and skill- development are conducted to maximize the learning outcomes. Stress is also laid upon personalized teaching according to the needs of the students. Effective feedback mechanism plays an important role in enhancing and improving individual academic performance.

Senior Level

The school curriculum is based on a harmonious blend of academics, sports, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities encompassing a self-empowerment program, with emphasis on character building. We believe that the most effective learning environment is secured when the best of traditional methods are combined with tested and proven modern approaches; where children are happy, motivated, challenged, and inspired. Children possess varied styles of learning. We, at GDSPS, seek to adapt our teaching methods to suit individual needs. The institution believes strongly in the benefits of a broad education system through which individual strengths can be discovered and nurtured.
