Multiple Intelligence Activity Room

To make teaching learning more interesting for students, we use activity based methodology in our Multiple Intelligences Activity Room. The room has been designed on the basis of Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences. Each child is smart to varying degrees of expertise in each of the eight intelligences, stronger in some ways and less developed in others. In order to enhance each area of intelligence, the children are provided with various opportunities to play in different centres catering to their varied needs.

In the Multiple Intelligences Activity Room, we have Learning Centres consisting of multiple stations like reading corner, creative corner, role-play corner, etc. for the students to rotate through. These allow students to practice various skills with hands-on activities. These centres have a variety of activities to choose from, giving them the ultimate choice of what to work on.

In addition to this, the students are also exposed to concepts through the use of Montessori equipment available in the activity room. The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole childphysical, social, emotional, cognitive.

We believe that through this activity room the students will be able to construct their own knowledge and will be empowered to do so by having the freedom to follow their own interest.
