Donations for The Malala Fund


The students of GDSPS donated in The Malala Fund , an official organization led by Malala Yousafzai,that aims to raise girls' voices and ensure every girl has access to 12 years of free, safe, quality primary and secondary education. focused on helping girls go to school and raise their voices for the right to education. The students donated books, clothes, toys, bedsheets, blankets and stationery. These second-hand goods which are in usable condition not only will make their lives better but also promote the eco-friendly concept of recycling. Therefore the children learnt that instead of throwing away something, donate it.

 

 

 

 

Jagriti


The school has a tie up with Jargriti waste paper recycling services which provide the school with rims of A4 paper in return of     the waste newspapers and used A4 sheets.
The employees from Jagriti visit our school, weigh the waste in school premises and assess the number of paper to be provided to the school .This exercise is followed every two/three months approximately.

 


 

 

Self Defense


Self defense workshop was conducted to create awareness about women safety and to learn about mobile application for safety purpose.

 

 

 

Nukkad Natak


Nukkad natak was organized for class 8th on topic environment.

 

 

 

Road safety

Classes- I- III
An Inter Class Skit Competition was organised in the amphitheatre of Gyan Devi Salwan Public School. The Chief guest for the Progranme was Honourable  Inspector of Traffic Department Delhi, Ms. Seema.
The students of classes I-III performed excellent skits depicting the actual condition of Delhi’s traffic and people’s casual attitude towards it. The skit even gave suggestions on how this problem can be resolved. Environment issues were also taken into consideration.
Aim: To help shape children and young people’s understanding of and attitudes towards road safety, to help give them the best chance of keeping safe while they’re young and as they get older.
Class III-B won the first prize,second prize was bagged by class II-B followed by class I-B with third prize.

 

 

 

 

Say No to Crackers Campaign


Say No To Crackers Campaign was organized on Wednesday, 21st October 2015 to make students aware of the hazardous effects of crackers and urge them to celebrate Diwali in a greener way. Students were informed about the dangers and pollution caused by firecrackers and they were asked to refrain from burning crackers this Diwali. They were motivated to take a pledge to celebrate Diwali without crackers. In order to give the message to celebrate a safe and environment friendly Diwali, over 125 students of Nursery and KG carrying colourful placards marched through the school. The campaign aimed at making students aware of the impact of the fun they choose to have while celebrating the festival.
