CBSE Judo Competition, 2018

        Gyan Devi Salwan Public School hosted CBSE Central Zone Judo Competition, 2018. To celebrate the free spirit of Judo and promote the growth of the game CBSE provides a wonderful platform to the    students, wherein the participants gain an opportunity to polish their athletic skills. The CBSE Central Zone, i.e. Delhi, Judo Competition was organized for 4 weight categories in total – Under 11, Under 14,  Under 17 and Under 19. The competition was placed for boys and girls separately.

        Ms. Mukul Jha, Principal Gyan Devi Salwan Public School, Ms. P Lata Tara, Academic advisor and Mr. J. N. Chopra school Director,  adorned the winners.



Inter House Debate competition

       An Inter House Debate competition was held on 5th October, 2019 with an aim of enhancing the debating skills of students. Students were given topics which were relevant to their choice of career. They came up with brilliant ideas. The results are as follows:

            The students of G.D. Salwan Public School participated in A World In Motion (AWIM), a teacher-administered, industry volunteer-assisted program that brings science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education to life in the classroom, on 23rd October ’18 at Maruti Suzuki Training Academy, Sector 28, Gurgaon. The programme is an initiative by Delhi Technical University (DTU) and Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

The students participated in two challenges: The Jet toy challenge for grade 6 and the skimmer challenge for grade 5. Out of the total 93 teams (2 teams per school) from Delhi, NCR Region, Gyan Devi Salwan Public School bagged the first prize in the Jet-toy category qualifying for the National level. They also won the Best Sportsmanship Award in the Skimmer making category. Students of grade 6: Raghav Chauhan, Tejasv Sehgal, Soumita Palmal, Mohamad Hamza bagged First Position in Jet-toy challenge , qualifying for the National level. Students of grade 5:Akshat Singh, Amitoj Kaur, Atharva, Soham Bowmic won Best Sportsmanship Award in the Skimmer making category.



            A plethora of activities (GDMUN, POSTER MAKING) were planned to celebrate the season of festival, culture and heritage. The month began with decorating the outside boards on the theme of global festivals where students from classes VI-XII decorated their classroom boards with the information and pictures on the given countries. To aware the students what is happening around the world morning assembly was conducted on the various topics where students celebrated International Day of Non-Violence, UN Day…etc.
